At the core of Empower Soccer is coaching. All coaches (except the Premier Program) are volunteers. Coaches have a massive impact on players, even beyond the soccer field. ​All coaches are required to have background checks and go through mandatory pre-season training - which includes one in-person session. Empower Soccer will provide training and practice curriculum.

IN ADDITION, if you are willing to coach, we allow one child per coach to play for free in the Champions Program. Note: we only have one lead coach and a maximum of two assistant coaches per team. Coach selection is based on the decision of the soccer director and is NOT automatic.

What we expect of volunteer coaches: 

• Behavior that is in line with club ethic and philosophy 

• Background check

• Pre-season training session

• Regular communication with player parents 

• Lead a once a week practice

• Coach each game

• Be on time for all activities (i.e. 10-15 mins BEFORE sessions/games start)
